OUR GREEN POLICY

At HYDE, sustainability is at the heart of what we do. We’re committed to reducing our environmental impact, from responsible sourcing to energy-efficient operations across our Galway bar and hotel. We’re still early in our journey, but our team drives real progress every day, bringing fresh ideas and genuine care to building a greener, more sustainable HYDE for our guests and community.

CARBON FOOTPRINT

At HYDE Bar Galway, sustainability drives everything we do — from metering and managing our energy, water and resource use, to sourcing locally and reducing waste, so we can serve great food and drinks while caring for the planet.

CONSERVARTION

At HYDE Bar Galway, we conserve energy and resources through LED lighting and water management technology, recycle and compost, cut single-use plastics with biodegradable packaging, and use eco-friendly cleaning products to support a cleaner, greener Galway.

COMMITMENT

At HYDE Bar Galway, we reduce our environmental impact through conscious energy use and waste minimisation — training staff on recycling and thoughtful consumption, separating waste into general, recycling and compost streams, returning used cooking oil for reuse, and avoiding single-use plastics wherever possible.

COMMUNITY

At HYDE Bar Galway, community is at the heart of our sustainability efforts — from donating unwanted items locally and sharing eco-conscious tips on social media, to partnering on beach cleans, litter picks and city council initiatives that keep Galway beautiful and strengthen ties with our neighbours.
